By The COAST Newspaper Correspondent
The National Fund for the Disabled in partnership with the County government will support infrastructural development in Mwanyambo and Malela primary school in Taita Taveta County, Fund Trustee major Retired Marsden Madoka has said.
Madoka revealed that a technical team from the National Fund
will tour the institutions to assess their needs before embarking on the
projects.
“Once the said projects are put in place, the facilities will exclusively
serve students with special needs.” said the major.
Madoka called on parents to take
good care of their children with special needs.
He lamented that owing to the hilly terrain in some parts of the County, some
of the disabled students have had difficulties in going to school.
The county governor Granton Samboja challenged other residents from the
area and who are able to assist in developing the count to borrow a leaf
from Madoka and support development initiatives in the county.
The governor who accompanied Madoka in all the three schools noted that the
schools’ infrastructure in the county need to be improved.
The governor was accompanied by education CECM Daniel Makoko, County Chief of Staff Rachel Dawai, CCO Justus Singi and head of protocol Amos Saleh.
