Red Stars, the new Rabai super cup Champions

Rejuvinated Red Stars of Mwanjama are the new Rabai super cup Champions following their 1-0 win against fellow finalists Bengo Bullets of Rabai.

The tough encounter was played at Rabai sports ground witnessed by a large crowd.

Ibrahim Baya, Red stars midfielder converted the winning goal in the 38thminute of the first half following a lapse by bengo Bullets defenders.

Rabai MP Mr. William Kamoti who sponsored the tournament hailed all 16 participating teams for sharing good sporting spirit during the games.

He challenged youth in Rabai to love and participate in sports as it is now a source of employment.

Besides the impressive large cup, the winners also bagged Ksh. 100,000, anew set of books, Jersey, foot balls and goal nets.

Bengo bulled were consoled with Ksh. 50,000, a set of jersey , boots and footballs.

In a curtain raiser match, bright stars A girls fc also from Mwanjama clinched the ladies version of Rabai super cup after beating their sisters Bright stars B 1-0.

Bright stars A bagged Ksh. 100,000 prize money while the runnersup settled with Ksh. 50,000.

Incidentally, Bright stars A had just been crowned coast regional champions for the coast Region girls football tournament played at Voi in Taita Tavete sub-county.
